The First Conversation
“I found a place. I have a vision and I want to do this.”
— MEET Quarter founder, returning after an earlier project with Your Kulture
The relationship began before
MEET Quarter existed.
We had previously built a website for the owner's former Holborn barbershop, The Noble Gentlemen. He liked how we worked, so when he bid for a former restaurant unit in Ram Quarter, he came back to us.
At that point there was no confirmed lease, no restaurant brand, no customer-facing website and no launch material. There was a location opportunity, an ambition to open a European steakhouse and a landlord who needed to understand the proposition.
We started with the concept logo and landlord pitch deck. Once the premises were secured, the work expanded into almost every part of the studio.

Beyond the brief
Signage, Outlook setup, booking systems, table placement, chef tastings and whatever helped the restaurant move forward.
before there was a restaurant
Make the idea believable enough to earn the place.
The unit had been bid for, but nothing was guaranteed. The landlord and Ram Quarter owners needed to see a credible restaurant proposition.
There was no finished brand to present. The logo, menu direction and experience were still concepts — so we created enough of the world to make the future business understandable.
We researched the local context, audience, competitors, suppliers and wider proposition, then wrote, structured and designed the presentation around the restaurant concept, menu, team, brand direction and marketing plan.
The owner presented it independently. He later confirmed verbally that it helped secure the premises.

naming & brand identity
From what was served to why people gathered.
The original working name was MEAT. Together with the owner and team, we moved towards something warmer, broader and more connected to the place.
Working concept
MEAT
Direct and clear but too narrow and forceful for a European restaurant intended to welcome more than meat eaters.
Final Direction
MEET
A social place to meet, eat and spend time together. “Quarter” rooted the name in its Ram Quarter home.

High-end.
Not clichéd.
The brief was posh, classy, minimal and characterful. We avoided the usual steakhouse language — heavy rustic textures, cowboy references and an identity that excluded people who were not visiting purely for meat.
The system extended into brand voice, tone of voice, graphic patterns, social templates, highlight icons and photography/video direction.

website & operating setup
The original digital front door.
A WordPress and Divi website that gave the new restaurant a credible home, then connected customers to menus, location information and SevenRooms.

launch & content production
Make the opening feel inevitable.
The twelve-tile Instagram launch grid went live before opening, introducing MEET Quarter as a complete, confident brand rather than a business still finding its feet.
From there, we planned and produced regular food, cocktail, venue, team and social-first content—typically visiting at least once a month, often twice, and more frequently during the opening weeks.

content systems & campaigns
Not random posts.
Reasons to visit.
The content calendar mixed recurring formats, quiet-day offers, local campaigns, live events and seasonal moments — all built around what the restaurant needed at the time.
01 / COMMERCIAL CAMPAIGNS
Give quieter
periods a job.
Date Night Wednesday, local staff lunch offers, SW18 resident promotions, Happy Hour and Sunday Roast gave people specific reasons to book beyond the weekend peak.
Date Night grew gradually; booking patterns and owner observation suggested an estimated 60–70% uplift on a previously quiet Wednesday.

02 / RECOGNISABLE SERIES
Craft Cocktail
Hour with Melanie.
A weekly Instagram Story format centred on one bartender demonstrating a cocktail in a fun, music-led video.
A familiar face and repeatable format gave audiences a reason to return.
03 / EVENTS & LIVE MUSIC
Build occasions
people can plan around.
Jazz Night became a recurring event and grew into a wider live-music programme.
Branded event creative, giveaways and local offers extended the restaurant beyond food photography.

04 / seasonal moments
Stay timely without losing the brand.
Father's Day, Euro 2024, Sunday roasts, launch activity and seasonal calendar moments were treated as opportunities to adapt the identity, not abandon it.
Each occasion had branded creative that felt like MEET Quarter rather than a generic restaurant template. Staff-led video content and trend formats sat alongside the more polished campaign work.
print, signage & place
From screen to
street—and onto
the table.
The identity had to survive contact with the real restaurant: the front door, the pavement, the table, the bill and the customer’s hand.

creative partner
Not technically
in the brief. Still necessary.
For eight active months, we became the owner’s first call for creative, digital and practical problems—with two further months on standby while the team adapted.

The Genuinely Unexpected
google business & local visibility
From difficult to
find to locally
visible.
At the beginning, even a search for the brand name could surface an unrelated business elsewhere. We created and optimised the Google Business Profile, worked on the site’s local SEO and connected the wider discovery journey.
That footprint included the original website, Google, Instagram, SevenRooms, OpenTable and the official Ram Quarter listing. By handover, MEET Quarter had built roughly 200 Google reviews while maintaining a 5.0 rating.
Connected Local Presence
Search, social, bookings and place worked together.
The website, Google Business, profile content, booking routes and third-party listings reinforced the same restaurant rather than presenting conflicting information.

the project archive
Selected highlights from the archive
Eight months of embedded work produced a significant body of material — video, photography, campaign assets, print files and documentation.

the outcome & handover
Eight months embedded. Two months within reach.
The project was not one isolated deliverable. It was the way brand, digital, content, campaigns, physical touchpoints and practical support made the new business feel joined up.
01
A researched landlord presentation that helped secure the location.
02
A name and identity designed around the restaurant's own ambitions and setting.
03
An original WordPress website, booking route and operating infrastructure ready for launch.
04
Content, campaigns, print and signage that gave people reasons to discover and revisit the restaurant.
05
1,500 Instagram followers and roughly 200 Google reviews built from zero during the active partnership.
06
A structured handover of files, accounts, templates, guidelines and access followed by two months of support.
The honest ending.
After eight active months, MEET Quarter chose to move more day-to-day creative and digital activity in-house to reduce costs. We handed over the accounts, editable assets, guidance and working systems, then remained available for another two months while the team adapted. The current website has since been changed internally, but the logo and parts of the wider identity remain in use.
